James Busch

I am primarily interested in reconstructing Earth’s history through the sedimentary rock record. Specifically, I aim to understand the relationship between the evolution of the Ediacaran fauna, Earth’s carbon cycle, and the climate of the Neoproterozoic. All of my work is field-based, consisting of geological mapping, sedimentology, and stratigraphy. I am also dedicated to teaching undergraduates about the Earth Sciences from the perspective of a field geologist, and I am enthusiastic about sharing my field experience with the students and faculty at Dartmouth.
