Grace Morse, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure.

She was born September 14, 1939 in Saint Johnsbury, VT to Gerald Brown and Eunice (Peck) Brown.  Grace graduated from Danville High School in 1957. She attended Burdett School of Business in Boston MA.  After graduating she spent time working in Boston at Otis Elevator Company as an accountant. Grace married Roger Morse of Hanover NH in August of 1961.

In 1962 she began her career at Dartmouth College, spending the majority of her years in the Earth Science Department.   For over 40 years, Grace was an essential part of the department for faculty and students alike.  She will be remembered fondly for the hundreds of lives she touched with her gestures of kindness and support, always providing advice or a shoulder to cry on.

Grace was a loving daughter, wife, sister and mother as well as a friend to many. She was considered the center of the family. In her younger years, she would attend Celtics games in Boston with her son, Dana and her mother who were all avid fans. Grace was a special woman who was caring, generous and kind to everyone she met. Grace and Roger enjoyed traveling, dancing, camping and going to plays, concerts and films. Grace enjoyed knitting, cross stitching and quilting. She loved playing games and spent Friday evenings and Wednesday afternoons playing cards with a close group of friends.  Grace loved board games and puzzles some of her favorites were Upwards and Scrabble.  She could often be found putting together puzzles in her living room and most recently on her iPad. As a grandmother she was the biggest fan of her grandchildren.  She attended their events and performances and helped them succeed in any way possible.
