Rivers integrate processes happening across the landscape and my research aims to understand the ways in which rivers respond to these processes and changes. I work with Professors Carl Renshaw and Frank Magilligan to study changes to river channels caused by dam construction and removal, land use change, extreme floods, and a changing climate. The goal of this work is to inform the science and practice of river restoration and to predict how river corridors might evolve and change in an uncertain climatic future.
