Radiogenic Isotope Laboratory

The Radiogenic Isotope Laboratory in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Dartmouth College is equipped with two thermal ionization mass spectrometers (TIMS) instruments for the measurement of isotopic composition and ultratrace element abundance. These instruments include a Thermo Finnigan Triton TIMS multicollector instrument equipped with eight collectors, as well as a VG Sector TIMS. The lab is also equipped with extensive clean lab facilities for sample preparation and column separations for sample pretreatment and purification.
