My research focuses on iron sulfide formation in stratified lake systems. I combine magnetic and geochemical analyses to robustly characterize the environments and conditions that promote iron sulfide formation. Stratified lakes may be modern analogs to the ancient oceans; thus, modern observations may help us draw new conclusions from existing rock records.
