Caleb Okpala

Graduate Student

Hi! I am Caleb Okpala from Nigeria. I earned a BSc in geology from the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Nigeria. My research focuses on the study of changes in climate taken on the scale of the entire history of the earth. I am interested in the 'How' and 'Why' of climate change, as well as its effects on tropical glaciers. To unravel this, I am interested in utilizing selected proxy methods particularly the application of geochemistry and remote sensing data to create well-dated records of glaciers throughout the earth's history. To answer these scientific questions, I work in Dr. Kelly's Cosmogenic Nuclide Laboratory.
